1 Timothy 2:1-2: First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way

Dear Father, we pray for our government, all elected members and those who work for the States of Guernsey. That you grant them wisdom, patience and courage in decision making. That they be influenced by your Word and your Spirit. We pray for the Bailiff, judges and jurats of the Royal Court that they too receive the wisdom of God in their responsibilities. We ask for the power of God to flow in through the lives of all our legislators and judiciary to the whole community, so that we may live peaceable lives and that the Gospel may flourish.

1 Tim 4:8. Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.
